Apple has always put security at the forefront of its product design, which is why the company is so much harder to hack than other tech brands.
Now, Apple also makes it easier to protect yourself from threatening people who might have your information, whether you know them or not. This is thanks to the new security features that come with the latest version of iOS.

What exactly is a password?
Say goodbye to the collarword and hello to the password. Apple created the cryptographic feature as a replacement for passwords because they’re more secure, so hackers don’t guess combinations to try to gain access to your account.

This feature allows users to unlock their devices only with their face or fingerprint, making it easier and easier to access their devices. With Passkey, your device is unlocked by simply looking at your device using facial recognition.
Since a person’s face or fingerprint is unique, it will be more than difficult for any hacker to be able to unlock a device. With this feature, Apple Passkey will allow you to access services such as banking or shopping apps that require authentication.
How to configure a password
Passkeys can work on all devices with iOS 16 using iCloud Keychain.
- Go to Settings
- Tap your name at the top
- Faucet iCloud
- Faucet Passwords and Keychain
- Make sure the option is enabled

How to use access keys
After setting up Access Keys, when you enter a password on a new website while using your iPhone or iPad, you’ll have the option to save that password to the key. It creates a key that runs on the website and is end-to-end encrypted, so only you have that password.
